Farm City Fun Fest begins Friday

Winthrop’s annual Farm City Fun Fest Summer Splashdown will be held this weekend Friday through Sunday.
The festivities in Winthrop City Park will begin on Friday afternoon with the opening of the beer garden.
From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tri-Community Arts will be serving a pork chop meal with chips, a cookie and bottle of water.
The Junior Royal Court will take place at 6 p.m. It is open to girls and boys that will be entering grades 1-6. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited and will close when capacity is reached. All participants will receive a crown and sash, recognition at the event and they will be able to interact with Miss Winthrop and the Winthrop Princesses. They will also be able to ride on the Junior Royal Court float in the parade.
