Lafayette kiddie park officially opened

by Ruth Klossner
It was ribbon-cutting night at the Lafayette Kiddie Park Tuesday, September 10.
Even though the renovated park has been open for several months, the sponsoring Lafayette Area Lions chose to do an official ribbon cutting, with Lions and community members present. Nearly 50 people were on hand.
Lion Joe Maidl emceed the short program that included short comments by several people involved in the project to update the park. They were Lafayette Mayor Sandie Peterson, Lafayette Utility Superintendent Al Fox, Tim Truelson of playground provider Flagship Recreation, Lions president Daniel Hayes, Citizens Bank Branch Manager Taylor Mages and project chair Andrew Maidl.
