Theater group performs spring play

The GFW-Sibley East Theater Department performed “A Family Reunion to Die For” at Sibley East High School. “A Family Reunion to Die For” is a comedic murder mystery play by Matt Steele and Mike Steele. The story follows newlyweds Christine and Freddie Franklin as they attend the Knotting Family Reunion at Wilcox’s Western Bed and Breakfast. The gathering turns deadly when several family members are mysteriously murdered. With a storm trapping everyone inside, it’s up to Freddie—a mall security guard with aspirations of becoming a detective—to identify the killer and protect his wife. The play features an eclectic cast of characters, including squirrel-hunting sisters, a former Vegas showgirl, and a troupe of mimes and incorporates audience interaction and humorous plot twists.
