Players plant at football field

Almost three dozen members of the GFW football team volunteered their time Friday morning to plant trees and bushes on the north end of the football field. Three balsam poplars and 13 techny arborvitaes where chosen for their quick growth to provide a wind break at the field. The first planting was part of the building fund from and for the school. Joe Mages of Evolve Landscaping designed and guided the crew in the planting. He is also an assistant coach under new head coach Travis Vorwerk. Photos by Michael Mattison
