GFW takes next step for November’s vote

Superintendent Allen Berg discussed the upcoming November election where there will be four related school issues on the ballot. The first question will be a State Constitutional Amendment on the Permanent School Fund. The School Districts in Minnesota receive funds from the interest earned on 8.1 million acres of land sold from this fund. The amendment would increase the amount dispersed. The second question will be to vote for three school board directors. The four-year terms of Ken Briese, Emilee Stehr and George Grosam will be on the ballot. Filing for these board positions runs from July 14 to July 28.
