Independent School District GFW Public Schools August 17th, 2020 Summary of regular school board meeting. Full text is available for public inspection at 323 East 11 th Street, Gibbon, MN 55335. The regular board meeting of the GFW School Board was held on August 17, 2020 at the GFW Jr/Sr High School, Winthrop, MN. Board Chair, Klenk called the meeting to order at 6:36 p.m. ALSO present: Superintendent Horton, Vos, Odegard, Lee, Press, Staff, parents, Klenk, Kuehn, Haas, community members, Business Manager Heine via Zoom Absent: None Odegard moved with support from Kuehn to approve the agenda with the addition of policies to the informational items. Motion Carried. APPROVAL OF RESOLUTIONS AND ACTION ITEMS Resolution on Base Learning Model for 20-21 School Year Kuehn moved with support from Klenk to approve the Base Learning Model for the 20-21 School Year. Elementary, In-Person and Jr./Sr. High School Hybrid model Yes- Haas, Klenk, Kuehn, Lee, Vos, Odegard, Vos No- None Motion Carried. Approval of revised GFW School Calendar 20-21 Odegard moved with support from Kuehn to approve Calendar A with graduation moved to June 5th at 11am for the 20-21 school year. Motion Carried. Approval of Superintendent’s Restructured Contract Kuehn moved with support from Klenk to approve Superintendent Horton’s restructured contract. Yes-Haas, Klenk, Kuehn, Lee, Odegard, Vos No- None Motion Carried. LTFM (Long Term Facilities Maintenance) Plan Klenk moved with support from Vos to approve the Long Term Facility Maintenance Ten-Year Expenditure plan. Motion Carried Resolution: Donations Klenk moved with support Vos from to accept the donations given by Jeff and Tammy Rose with the correction of the full $1250 going to football and $750 to elementary education and the Winthrop Honor Guard donation of $1000 to elementary books. Yes-Haas, Klenk, Kuehn, Lee, Odegard, Vos Motion Carried CANVAS ELECTION Klenk moved with support from Kuehn to approve the Referendum Levy Numbers.
