GFW Lego team attends festival

On Saturday, March 29th, the GFW Elementary School FIRST LEGO team participated in the MN High Tech Kids FIRST LEGO League Explore Festival in Bloomington. This year’s theme was Submerged. The group of nine students have spent the last eight weeks learning about the ocean as well as creating an ocean scene with Legos.
The GFW team was one of seventeen at the festival and the age of the group was Kindergarten through third grade. Each time the group met they learned something new about the ocean such as the animals, the plant life and jobs for people. The team consisted of Connor and Colby Rieke, Zane Valdez, Kendrick Grams, Melanie and Wes Kramer, Maya Ramsley, Bethany Krueger and Liam Pagel.
