The Local to open next week

Four Gibbon residents have teamed together to buy a bar in downtown Gibbon.
The Local will open its doors on Monday, July 7, and is owned by Mitch and Dana Lietzau, Jayson Berskow and Andrea Wortz.
The foursome purchased D’s Pit Stop from Denise Rieke and took ownership on July 1. They will be closed for the first week of July to do some cosmetic work including painting and new flooring.
The Lietzaus had talked with Berskow and Wortz about the possibility of buying the bar a couple of years ago but around March, what started out as a joke over a few beers, turned into reality.
Rieke has been looking to sell and they felt the time was right to make the move.
