Christmas tree lighting to be held November 30 in Lafayette

by Michael Mattison
A new event will be held in Lafayette at the end of the month. The Lafayette Fire Relief Association Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on November 30 at the Lafayette Fire Hall.
For $5, people can sponsor a bulb on the tree in memory of someone or dedicated to someone. Those in memory are for people who have passed away and those dedicated are for people that may be serving in the military or battling a disease.
Reading of the names will begin at 6 p.m. and the tree lighting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Cookies and cocoa will also be provided at the event. The list of names will also be by the tree as well.
