Firebirds compete at State

Even though school was out for summer vacation, several students and many adults came out on Thursday morning to wish good luck to the two GFW Firebirds that qualified for the State Track Meet. Senior Silvana Ruiz ran the 800-meter run and sophomore Annie Wersal threw the discus. The Firebird girls jumped into the school van on their way to the meet and were escorted out of Gibbon by local law enforcement and the fire department.
