GFW School Board continues to plan for the future
As the GFW School Board continues to work on balancing its budget and reducing its debt. The administration was asked at the February meeting to look into the savings from selling the bus fleet and hiring a company for transportation. Superintendent Lonnie Seifert stated that the finance committee had some discussion on the topic. The estimate was that the fleet would bring about $615,000 and the District owes about $210,000 on bus leases, plus has a van lease. Seifert stated that the District would have maybe $350,000 to $400,000 left.
