East 12th Street project moves forward in Gibbon
by Doug Hanson
A public hearing was held last Tuesday at the Gibbon City Council meeting for the East 12th Street paving project. Bryan Petzel, project engineer, reviewed the design of the project, presenting details and costs for paving the 475 feet of gravel road. The sanity sewer and water run in the back yards of the housing in that area, so that is not part of the project. Also the design does not call for curb or gutter and no sidewalks were included. An expanded turnaround will be added at the east end of the project and some culverts will be replaced.
