Thunderbirds defeat Nicollet

The GFW Thunderbird boys basketball team defeated Nicollet on Thursday 47-40 and lost to New Ulm Cathedral on Monday 63-42. It was a slow start for both teams on Thursday night. Neither team was able to find the bottom of the net in the first half as GFW held a 19-17 lead over Nicollet at halftime. Both teams were able to pick up some scoring punch in the second half as GFW outscored the Raiders 28-23 to go onto the win.
