Thunderbirds prepare for eight-game gridiron slate

The GFW Thunderbird football team is coming off a season in which it went 8-3. The T-Birds were the Section runner-up. This year the squad has about 40 on its roster. Coach Pat Hentges said that the offensive line returns Alex Johnson, Tristian Kruger, Sam Berkner, Braylan Freitag and Ashton Buboltz. “They were all starters last year and that’s great,” he said. Nick TenEyck and Jacob Rose return in the backfield. Dominic Rose will be taking over at the quarterback position and Rose will be the backup.
