Lafayette Lions breakfast will benefit teen’s college fund

Life hasn’t been easy for teenager Elissa Ries. Her mom, Cindy Preisinger, was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis when Elissa was just a toddler and has lived in a care facility for some time. Her dad, Jason Ries, of Lafayette Township, did his best raising her to her teenage years. That is, until October 9, 2022, when Jason died unexpectedly of natural causes. Since then, Elissa has lived with her aunt and uncle, Jackie and Glenn Forst, of West Newton Township.
