Local creates leather mugs for Renaissance Festival

For two decades now, Erik Kask has been creating leather goods that can be purchased at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.
The mainstay of his business is leather mugs. He also sells quite a few belts along with bracelets and other smaller leather items. He and his son have recently gone into a bigger item which is leather armor.
Kask began his involvement with leather work as a Boy Scout. “It was always a hobby of mine,” he said. He would continue to work with leather for something fun to do. He would become a teacher at Kimball for several years and had the opportunity to meet Harold Macmillan along the way. He was the person that developed the mugs at the Renaissance Festival.
