GFW School Board reviews new school design
by Doug Hanson
The GFW School Board received a full design review of the new PreK through 12 grade school to be constructed in Gibbon. The meeting on Monday, Sept. 17, allowed Board Directors Emilee Stehr and Drew Schmidt the opportunity to ask a variety of questions they had received from the public. Directors Ken Briese and Dan Merkel are on the facility planning committee so they have been working with the architect.
Lynae Schoen of Wold Architects stated that the Design Team will have the documents for bidding out in January or February with crews moving dirt as soon as the weather allows. She stated that the building will be ready the summer of 2025 for the GFW team to start moving in.
