Two apply for Winthrop’s open board seat
Applications were accepted until last Wednesday for the open board position and two individuals applied. The two candidates for the Winthrop GFW School Board position are Nathan Loewy and Russel Miller.
Loewy lives in the City of Winthrop, while Miller lives in Bismarck Township. The two will be interviewed by the School Board at the February 5th Board Work Session with the appointee taking the board position in March.
The position was opened when Drew Schmidt resigned on December 20th. This is the final year of the three-year term. The appointed director will have to run for election in November.
