Busche retires from Winthrop Telephone Company

For the past 38 years, Danny Busche has been working for the Winthrop Telephone Company. His final day at the office was Monday, Dec. 2.
Danny grew up in east Otter Tail County. He went to what is now Ridgewater College for sales, marketing and management.
He got into the telephone business in 1976 working at Contel in Hector for five years. He then worked for Hahn Implement in Winthrop for its final five years in business. During that time he got to know the Larsons from Franklin and started working for them in 1986 in Franklin in the telephone industry.
They convinced him that moving to the business office in Winthrop would be good for his future and so he did. He moved to Cornish Township in 1989.
