Lafayette Council approves negotiations for a different street sweeper

Public Works Supervisor Allan Fox found a used Eligns street sweeper that seemed affordable. The City of Jasper updated its sweeper and had a 1990 Elign for sale at $9,500. Fox stated that this machine would drastically cut the amount of time it takes to sweep the streets of Lafayette. At the March Lafayette City Council meeting, he stated that he asked Jasper representatives if they would take $8,000.
