Corn maze planted at Conklin Hill

There was action at the bottom of Conklin Hill this spring as the land was prepared for a corn maze. The property was rolled and planting of the corn was done on Mother’s Day. Lonnie Bacon said the support from community members and local businesses has been tremendous. Currently a W and the Winthrop zip code have been included in the design with more paths to be added in a few weeks. Once those paths are completed, the public will be invited to take a stroll through the area. A fall event is being planned as well. Photo contributed
