Ila Mae Anderson, age 89 of Winthrop, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Bayside Manor in Gaylord. Funeral Service was held on Friday, October 3, 2025, 11:00 A.M. at Bernadotte Lutheran Church, Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota, with interment in the church cemetery.

Ila Mae Gertrude Anderson was born on April 23, 1936, in Gaylord, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Orville and Dorothea (Woller) Wendorff. Ila was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith. She received her education in Gaylord.
On March 28, 1954, Ila was united in marriage to James Anderson at Bernadotte Lutheran Church, Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple resided in Winthrop. They were blessed with five sons. Ila was employed at the Winthrop Nursing Home and the Winthrop Bakery. Ila and James shared 40 years of marriage, when James passed away on October 27, 1994.
Ila was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop.
Ila enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening and flowers. She cherished the time she spent with her sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her dog, Buster.
When she needed assistance with her care, Ila became a resident of Bayside Manor and passed away there on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the age of 89 years. Blessed be her memory.
Ila is survived by her Sons, Douglas Anderson of Winthrop, MN, Randolph Anderson and his significant other, Bonnie Gutknecht of Winthrop, MN, Larry Anderson of Gibbon, MN, Steven Anderson and his significant other Denise Everson of Winthrop, MN, and Michael Anderson and his wife, Linda of Winthrop, MN; Grandchildren, Jay (Tracy) Anderson, Jody (Aaron) Smedley, Elizabeth (Cory) Fisk, Weston (Melanie) Anderson, Whitney (Lucas) Thoma and Wyatt Anderson and his significant other, Carolyn Goebel; 20 Great-grandchildren; Siblings, Cyrus Wendorff, Marlin (Susie) Wendorff, Karen Culbert, Gerald Wendorff, Cheryl Anderson, Shelby Beseke, and Althea Teschendorf; Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ila was preceded in death by her Husband, James Anderson; Parents, Orville and Dorothea Wendorff; Sister, Beatrice and her husband, Reuben Trout; Brothers-in-law, Bruce Anderson and Larry Teschendorf.
