Agreement closer for land for Gibbon’s new water tower
by Doug Hanson
Pat Reinhardt attended the January 6th Gibbon City Council meeting to review a couple of revisions to the land acquisition agreement for the new water tower. The tower will be located by the former South 80 on land now owned by Reinhardt.
Project engineer Bryan Petzel stated that the design process for the water tower is underway. Reinhardt had a concern that the city would want to annex the property. Since he is using his portion for storage, he was against annexing into the City. He was told that the option agreement only references the land that the City would be purchasing, not the land than Reinhardt would continue to own.
