It came ‘weather’ we wanted it or not

Everyone knew we couldn’t get through the rest of the winter without one more big storm and it hit this weekend. Mid-week, we were greeted with strong winds that caused a bit of damage. Several homes had shingles blown off while the Farmer’s Co-op Oil in Winthrop had part of its canopy destroyed. On Saturday night and Sunday morning, the area got hit with a large amount of snow. The Winthrop city crew started its snow removal operations on Sunday at 5:30 a.m. and called it a day at 6:30 p.m. They were back at it at 1:30 a.m. on Monday morning and finished up at 10 a.m.
