Firebirds knock off Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s

The GFW Firebirds baseball team picked up its third win of the season at home on Tuesday with a 9-8 victory over Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s. They then almost pulled off another win on Thursday at Springfield but lost 7-6.
St. Mary’s jumped out to a 5-0 lead with four runs in the first and one more in the second inning.
The Firebirds would then score the next nine runs to take a 9-5 lead.
