Thunderbirds win a pair of close games

It was an exciting week for the GFW Thunderbird boys basketball team as it won a pair of games by a total of three points. It also threw in a 9-point win over Sibley East.
Springfield opened the game with the first six points but Dominic Rose’s layup and a putback by Ashton Buboltz had GFW on the scoreboard. Springfield would push its lead back to six points at 10-4
A three by Alex Johnson, a Rose runner in the lane, a shot in tight by Easton Taylor followed by a three from Taylor and GFW led 14-13.
