NOTICE OF OFFICES TO BE VOTED FOR AT THE 2026 STATE GENERAL ELECTION
SIBLEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
Notice is hereby given that a general election will be held in Sibley County on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for the purpose of voting for the offices listed below. The filing period for these offices begins at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Candidates may file in person or by mail if the filing is received during the filing period. Candidates who will be absent from the state during the filing period may arrange to file, in person, prior to departure. Note: Filing offices will be closed on May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day. (MN Statutes 204B.06; 204B.09; 204B.11; and 204B.33)
Note: The Veterans Service Building has limited public access. Those who need to conduct business with the elections or administration division in person should make arrangements ahead of time by email or phone.
Candidates file for federal offices with the Office of the Secretary of State, Veterans Service Building, Suite 210, 20 W 12th Street, St. Paul, MN 55155.
Candidates file for state offices with the Office of the Secretary of State, Veterans Service Building, Suite 210, 20 W 12th Street, St. Paul, MN 55155 or with the County Auditor of the county in which the candidate resides.
Candidates file for county offices with the Office of the Sibley County Auditor-Treasurer, Sibley County Courthouse, 400 Court Avenue, P.O. Box 51, Gaylord, Minnesota 55334-0051.

NOTICE OF AND ORDER FOR HEARING ON
PETITION FOR
DETERMINATION OF DESCENT
In Re: Estate of CANDICE J. PEDERSON, Decedent.
Nichol T. Pederson (“Petitioner”) has filed a Petition for Determination of Descent.
It is Ordered that on May 18, 2026, at 10:45 a.m., a hearing will be held in this Court at 400 Court Avenue, Gaylord, MN 55334, on the petition.
The petition represents that the Decedent died testate more than three (3) years ago leaving property in Minnesota. The petition requests the Court probate the decedent’s last Will dated August 19, 2015, determine the descent of such property, and assign the property to the persons entitled.
Any objections to the petition must be raised at the hearing or filed with the Court prior to the hearing. If the petition is proper and no objections are filed or raised, the petition will be granted.
Notice shall be given by publishing this Notice and Order as provided by law and by mailing a copy of this Notice and Order to each interested person by United States mail at least 14 days before the time set for the hearing.
