Thunderbirds win Section title with win over MVL

For the second consecutive year, the GFW Thunderbirds earned their way to a Section 2A championship. This year it came in a 40-21 championship victory over Minnesota Valley Lutheran. MVL would actually get on the scoreboard first with a seven-play drive that culminated on an 18-yard pass from Luke Thompson to Cole Thompson. Joey Goeglein’s kick was good and MVL held a 7-0 advantage.
