T-Birds hold on for 22-21 win over NRHEG

The GFW Thunderbird football team was pushed to the limit in its latest game but came out prevailing 22-21 over New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva. The T-Birds defense forced NRHEG to punt on its first possession but a fumbled punt allowed NRHEG to get the ball on the GFW 7-yard line. After a stop for no gain by Nick TenEyck and an incomplete pass, NRHEG’s Andrew Phillips fumbled and GFW’s Trevor Schweiss recovered and GFW took over at its own 5-yard line.
