June M. Kammerlander

June M. Kammerlander, age 75, of Winthrop, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine, Minnesota. Private Family Graveside Service will be held.
Clergy Officiating: Pastor Arnold Olefson.
June M. Kammerlander was born on August 30, 1947, in New Ulm, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Wallace and Violet (Bowman) Pettis. June was baptized and confirmed in her faith in 1961 at Bernadotte Lutheran Church, Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota. She received her education in Winthrop and was a graduate of the Winthrop High School Class of 1965.
On January 14, 1974, June was united in marriage to Howard Kammerlander at the Court House in Brookings, South Dakota. After their marriage, the couple resided in Winthrop. June and Howard were blessed with two children, Tony and Sherri. June was employed at JB Lures in Winthrop. They shared 49 years of marriage.
June was a member of Assembly of God Church.
June enjoyed gardening and her German Shepherd pets. She cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.

June is survived by her:Husband, Howard Kammerlander of Winthrop, MN; Daughter, Sherri Kammerlander and Kim Bass of Brooklyn Park, MN; Son, Tony Kammerlander and his wife, Debra of Le Sueur, MN, and Grandchildren, Meghan (Shawn) Jensen, Nicole (Alex) Burns and Andrew Kammerlander; Great-grandchildren, Aiden and Emersen Jensen, Oliver Burns, Phoenix Kammerlander; Brother, Bruce Pettis and his wife, Cindy of St. Paul, MN; Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
June was preceded in death by her Parents, Wallace and Violet Pettis; Brother, Kenneth Pettis.
