Thunderbirds gain a split on the hardwood

The GFW Thunderbird boys basketball team. traveled to Wabasso on Monday and came away with an 84-73 victory and turned around the following night with a loss on its home court to Minnesota Valley Lutheran 80-65.
Wabasso would control the first three-quarters of the half until GFW turned it around to take a 41-38 lead at halftime.
The T-Birds would not relinquish that lead in the second half but extended it, outscoring the Rabbits 43-35 in the final 18 minutes of play.
