Thunderbirds begin season 2-1

It has been a nice start to the GFW Thunderbird boys basketball season as the T-Birds are off to a 2-1 start.
The season opener at Sibley East wasn’t quite the way the team wanted to start the season as the Wolverines defeated GFW 73-38.
GFW fell behind early and would trail 38-23 at halftime. Although the scoring was slight in the first half, the T-Birds did manage to knock down five three-pointers. Three came from Eric Herrera while Cole Jacobson added two. Jacobson would lead the team in scoring in the first half with 12 points while Herrera added nine.
