T-Birds topple RRC, Wabasso

In three games this week, the GFW Thunderbird boys basketball team came away with victories over Wabasso 69-58 and Red Rock Central 70-35 but lost to Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s 64-24.
After giving up the first two points to Red Rock Central, GFW went on an 11-0 run. Easton Taylor scored inside and Layton Hamre scored back-to-back fast-break layups off assists from Owen Swenson and Cole Jacobson. Carter Klages scored in the post and Kaden Rieke added a free throw before Jacobson grabbed a defensive rebound and went coast-to-coast for a layup.
