Thunderbird baseball defeats Rabbits

The GFW Thunderbird baseball team won one of its three games last week. It opened with an 11-1 victory over Wabasso on Monday, followed with a 12-2 defeat at Mankato Loyola and ended the week losing 8-6 at Sleepy Eye.
The T-Birds jumped all over the Wabasso Rabbits in the first inning with four runs.
Owen Swenson and Layton Uecker-Hamre started the inning with a pair of singles. The next two T-Bird hitters would get out but Cole Kemkes singled, driving in Swenson and Uecker-Hamre scored on a passed ball. Will Bastian was hit by a pitch, Owen Ahlbrecht walked before Michael Lee plated Kemkes with a single. Bastian would come in on a balk.
