Lester Prairie knocks Firebirds out of playoffs in Section final

Despite striking first, the GFW Firebirds football team would lose to Lester Prairie 30-6 in the Section Finals.
The Firebirds’ defense started strong, forcing turnovers on the first two Lester Prairie drives.
GFW was able to capitalize on the second turnover, going in for the score and taking a 6-0 lead. A short pass from Owen Swenson to Matthew Lee looked to have put the Firebirds on the board but the officials marked it short of the goal line. There were no worries, though, as Cayson Gosewisch would take it in from there for the lead.
