Firebirds roll against BOLD, lose buzzer beater to MVL

With a couple of postponements along the way this week, the GFW Firebirds boys basketball team would put up a great second half to defeat BOLD 66-42 and the next night lose on a buzzer beater 62-60 to Minnesota Valley Lutheran.
The Firebirds opened the week hosting BOLD and held a 29-24 lead at the half.
Early in the second half, the margin was even slimmer at 31-28 but GFW would blow the game open with an 18-2 run to take a 49-30 lead with half of the points coming from Cole Jacobson who hit from long range and added two three-point plays.
