Busy week for Reds

The Gibbon Reds started last week on the road in Sleepy Eye versus the Indians in Tomahawk Conference play. The Reds used three singles from Nolan Hurias, Justin Schwecke, and Jason Berger to score the first run of the game in the first inning. Reds scored again in the fourth, fifth, and seventh innings. The Indians out-scored the Reds with fourteen runs off ten hits. Pitching for the Reds included Jon DeRock, Devon Schwarzrock, Sam Van Hon, and Jacob Kropifko. Schwecke went three for four with two singles and a double. Berger, Aaron Bruns, and Jayson Berskow each had a single. Hurias had two singles and Mauer also contributed a double. The final after seven innings was Sleepy Eye 14, Gibbon 4.
