The GFW Thunderbird boys basketball team started the week by defeating the Sleepy Eye Indians 57-51 in a come-from-behind victory. The week ended with a loss to Cedar Mountain 85-64.
The Indians built a double-digit lead on the T-Birds in the first half before GFW cut the deficit to just six points at 27-21.
The T-Birds started chipping away at the Indian’s lead midway through the second half and would gain the lead with under seven minutes to play in the game. The Indians would fight back but GFW would pull away at the end. The T-Birds outscored the Indians 36-24 in the second half.
