T-Birds pull off come-from-behind victory over LS-H

by Michael Mattison
The GFW Thunderbird boys basketball team started the week by rolling over Mayer Lutheran 85-63. The T-Birds then came from behind for a dramatic 69-68 victory over LeSueur- Henderson before losing to Minnesota Valley Lutheran 87-54.
Eight straight points for the T-Birds early in the game against LeSueur-Henderson would give GFW a 12-6 lead. The bulk of that run came from Dominic Rose who hit a pair from the charity stripe, scored on a fast-break layup and then off an offensive board. Alex Johnson came up with a steal, passed to Rose who hit Braylan Freitag for a fast-break layup.
